Our mission is to preserve and share humanity’s stories in order to build connections between people and create a more just and compassionate world.
StoryCorps is one of the most powerful storytelling tools in our country. It gives real people an opportunity to tell their stories. Topics range from traumatic experiences like war, racial discrimination, and imprisonment, to heartwarming topics like love, family, and friendship.
StoryCorps audio is broadcast and streamed on NPR stations and websites. Their main format is audio, but they also post video stories using animation, photos, and quotes. Here are a few examples of StoryCorps stories from the StoryCorps YouTube channel.
